Off the back of our rebrand of EPA’s “[Hey Tosser](/our-work/dont-be-a-tosser)” campaign, the EPA were looking to expand the messaging to include an environmental message. This was a great opportunity for us to revisit a campaign we’d pitched to them early on about wildlife gettings its revenge on litterers.
We chose a deliberately cute animation style to generate sympathy before unleashing the fury of the marine animals, showing them with raging fire behind their eyes as they returned littered items back to their owners. It went from cute to scary in a split second to hilarious effect.
Across Facebook and Instagram, our tales of revenge took off, craftily getting the message across that you don’t mess with Mother Nature with an audience of predominantly 18-25 year olds: a great new audience for the EPA.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which we create, the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
