In celebration of Chinese New Year, Central Park wanted an installation that would add some themed fun to their retail space. We needed to find an inviting, engaging way to stop shoppers as they passed by, and get them to interact with an experience inspired by Chinese New Year.

We combined technological trickery with original, cute animations to bring people’s horoscopes to life. An interactive touch screen prompted passers by to enter their date of birth and find their zodiac - drawn onto the side of a cartoon rocket - before launching it across the shopping centre onto an enormous 14-metre screen. Here it was caught by a cute, animated pig character, where the rocket exploded into information about the participant’s horoscope outlook.

With its bright colours, larger than life animated characters, and smooth interactivity, our horoscope generator got thousands of hits and generated just as many smiles.
