What’s the best way to get young Australians excited about their own potential? The majority of Australian youth (60.8%) say that not knowing what career path is for them is a huge concern. Further, apprenticeships / traineeships not being seen as a marker of success. We needed to reframe the whole conversation.

As a new way of connecting high school leavers with various apprenticeships and traineeships, we created an immersive experience that excited students with their own potential by showing them their potential future workplaces.

While the tour was primarily to be experienced at schools and expos via VR headset, it was also ported to an in-browser interface designed for google cardboard, meaning users didn't need to download an app to view in a cardboard.

By immersing people in multiple different workplaces with several clickable elements, the website and HMD experience delivered a career day for school leavers whenever they had time. While the experience is currently only 4 different environments, it is now being extended to include even more possibilities.
