Starlight Video Guidelines

Brief

Starlight Children’s Foundation is a nonprofit organisation founded in 1982 for hospitalised kids and their families. Their programs offer entertainment, education and technology to critically, chronically and terminally ill children.

Starlight create hundreds of videos every year but with a brand book that focuses largely on print and static images. Our mission was to bring the fun and colourful Starlight world into the moving image.

Response

Utilising the current brand book we focused on tone and colours to bring Starlight’s brand language to life. When communicating about such a serious topic we had to make sure we captured the positive effects that Starlight’s offering can bring to a sick child and their family.

Results

The Video brand guidelines are now used nationally and include chapters on animation as well as a suit of animation templates and stings.
