With an ever-evolving suite of content and development of different shows, ABC Science YouTube needs to be continually updated, with visuals that communicate something that is fresh, contemporary and that excite people about science. But how do you get that across in a look?
To visually represent science as a theme, we explored what it meant to us and to our audience: something ever growing and ever discovering. Science, though grounded in facts and absolutes, is still a changing, evolving thing. It’s not static. So we delved into design that conveyed an organic sense of movement and change, combined with a cutting edge, abstract style that felt technological but also stylish and engaging.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which we create, the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
