Yingna Lu

Yingna Lu is a film and media producer.

She began her career accidentally working as a PA on a reality dating show. She decided that after weeks of feeding actors scripted material, she may as well go into producing quality scripts.

In addition to ads, she has produced several experiential projects with Paper Moose including a three metre ten cent coin for the City of Sydney, nominated for the B&T ’30 under 30′ awards in 2015.

In 2016, she became a SPA One’s to Watch Producer. She has Vimeo Staff picked music video clips for RUFUS (Tonight), and SBCR (The Grid). She line produced Bollywood inspired short, Departure Lounge which was voted ‘Best Comedy’ in the 2015 AACTA Social Shorts. Since 2014, she has been creating funded shows for ABC1, Presto TV and Foxtel. In 2015, Yingna’s comedy web series, Wingman, was named Outstanding Comedy at the LA Webfest, Huffington Post called it a ‘brilliant comedy web series’, and SBS Comedy announced it ‘one of the best web series to come out of Australia this year’. Wingman has reached over 600k views. She was one the three recipients for the Create NSW 2016 Generator Emerging Filmmakers Fund $30k grant for 15 min short film, Bodies in 2017. Her short film Tangles and Knots will have screened this year at Berlin Film Festival 2018, SXSW 2018, Sydney Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival and Palm Springs ShortsFest 2018.

Outside of producing, she enjoys dancing like a goober, smashing tennis balls, and tackling the anxiety of swimming laps too slowly in front of somebody in a public pool.
