Christina Bouzios, more affectionately known as bou (bou design house), is a designer, art director and stylist. Deeply rooted in the sheer form of design and a true aesthete; bou will literally sing with elation when colour, pattern, texture and tone are all joyously harmonious. “For me; it’s about evoking emotion and attachment…” she says. This is the kind of uniqueness and pizzaz and depth bou hopes to bring to every brief and client interaction.
After graduating from AFTRS in Production Design and having already studied Fashion, Textile Design and Floristry, bou has worked both in Sydney and overseas, showcasing her own design work. bou is also a fashion designer; spanning textiles and clothing that sometimes leaps into homewares; check www.bybou.net!
With broad, yet refined passions, this has seen bou’s work as an art director and stylist (interiors and fashion) with some of Sydney’s most reputable companies. Areas include TV, film, advertising; as well as editorial and campaign. Through that love for curating space such work has also extended to various events, commercial spaces and festivals.
Some of her clients include; Fairfax Media, Bauer Media, City of Sydney, Spectrum NOW Festival, Fairgrounds Festival, Lost Paradise Festival, Randwick Races, Architects of Entertainment. Various other production houses in Sydney, New York and London as well as private clients.
The real truth is, bou is a fond lover of people; the whole bou vibe is much better in person (without setting expectations!), “feel free to reach out; I’m always have to talk concept and strategy but always alongside colour, cheese and champagne!”
